Cascadia Responsible AI Hub

Cascadia stands at a pivotal moment.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping global competitiveness, determining where talent concentrates, investment flows, and standards are set. Regions that act with intention will not only lead technologically, but also define how AI is developed and applied. Cascadia has the opportunity to do both.

The Cascadia AI Hub emerged from the region’s 2025 economic competitiveness work, including a cross-border report and convening that brought together leaders from business, government, research institutions, and industry groups. That effort surfaced a clear insight: Cascadia already has world-class assets, but its greatest advantage lies in aligning them.

Spanning British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon, Cascadia combines globally recognized research universities, leading technology companies, deep AI talent, top quantum computing innovators, advanced semiconductor and computing capacity, and a long history of cross-border collaboration. Just as important, the region shares a commitment to responsible innovation—advancing economic growth while building public trust and ensuring AI serves people and communities.

The Cascadia AI Hub is not a single institution or centralized program. It is a shared platform that connects partners, strengthens regional identity, and positions Cascadia as a globally competitive center for responsible AI. By convening leaders from government, universities, tech associations, and the private sector and amplifying coordinated action, the Hub helps turn individual efforts into a cohesive regional strategy.

Real Talk: AI Across the Cascadia Megaregion

AI, Enterprise & the Cascadia Opportunity

March 19, 2026 | Seattle

Join us in Seattle on March 19, 2026 for a high-impact event presented in partnership with Cascadia Innovation Corridor, Tech Alliance, and the Technology Association of Oregon.

This dynamic gathering brings together industry leaders, innovators, and policy voices for three focused panels exploring how AI is reshaping our regional economy — and what it will take to lead.

The day concludes with lunch and closing remarks from a local government leader, highlighting the importance of cross-sector collaboration across business, technology, and government.

It’s an opportunity to connect, strengthen regional partnerships, and engage in forward-looking conversations driving innovation across the Pacific Northwest.

Agenda
8:45-9:30am: Panel 1 – AI & the Workforce

A Harvard/BCG study shows teams using AI outperform individuals. This session moves beyond job-loss fears to focus on workflow redesign and human-AI collaboration, featuring enterprise voices and practical insights.

9:30-10:15am: Panel 2 – AI & Enterprise Development

With up to 95% of enterprise AI projects failing to scale, this panel examines real-world successes and failures — especially for midsize companies in services and manufacturing. Less theory, more execution.

10:15-10:30am: Coffee & Networking
10:30-11:15am: Panel 3 – AI & Startups

From the seed-to-Series A capital gap to pilot-to-scale challenges, we’ll explore how to build a stronger AI ecosystem across the Cascadia region — not just stronger startups.

11:15-11:45am: Lunch & Networking
11:45am-12:30pm: Closing Fireside – Cascadia’s International Moment

Moderated by Governor Chris Gregoire, regional leaders from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia will discuss positioning Cascadia as a globally recognized megaregion.

AI is the catalyst.
Collaboration is the advantage.

We look forward to seeing you in Seattle.
