CASCADIA 2050 VISION: MOVING TO CLIMATE ACTION

6th Annual Cascadia Innovation Corridor Conference
September 12-13, 2022 | Semiahmoo Resort, Blaine, Washington

Over September 12 and 13, 2022, the Cascadia Innovation Corridor (CIC) community gathered at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA for the 6th Annual CIC Conference.

At a time when our region is facing wildfires, record heat, drought and water shortages, and flooding, the 2022 event explored meaningful actions and impactful solutions that leverage our shared strengths, talents, and innovations to address climate change within Cascadia, and beyond.

Elected leaders from up and down the Pacific Coast participated, including Governor Jay Inslee (Washington), Premier John Horgan (British Columbia), Governor Kate Brown (Oregon); and Governor Gavin Newsom (California). Featured speakers included Bob Keefe, Executive Director, E2 and Author, President and Vice Chair at Microsoft, Brad Smith; Sherri Goodman from the Wilson Center and Center for Climate and Security; Tamara Vrooman, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority, Steve Metruck, Executive Director, Port of Seattle and Curtis Robinhold, Executive Director, Port of Portland. We also heard from the Chief Sustainability Officers from some of Cascadia’s largest companies and leaders advancing Cascadia’s Ultra High Speed Ground Transportation project.
